                                                                        Assessment

I think the author's point of view is that technology is rapidly changing and education needs to catch up. Education hasn't changed as fast and as much as technology has. Technology has taken over social media and almost everyone uses or has used it. The authors took over three years of research with large amounts of time spent on it.

Technology has evolved so fast over the years and has changed the way people interact with each others. They also explain on the essay that the youth culture has changed significantly. In the essay it states, "They found that social network and video sharing sites, online games, and gadgets such as iPods and mobile phones are now the fixtures of youth culture."

On the internet, youths learn much more than what they learn in schools. The internet gives people access to knowledge they won't learn about in school. In the text it states, "A smaller number of youth also use the online world to explore interests and find information that goes beyond what they have access to at school or in their local community." The internet itself can be a source of learning material far better than schools.

There are websites that allow access to people that need to learn way more knowledge than what you are limited to. The internet is what is outside the box. On the passage it states," Online groups enable youth to connect to peers who share specialized and niche interests of various kinds, whether that is online gaming, creative writing, video editing, or other artistic endeavors." This shows us that even without school there are places where youth can hang out. Remember, knowledge is power.

                                                                      JFK Essay

In the biography, "A Warm, Clear Day in Dallas" and  the speech "Address to Congress" given by Lyndon B. Johnson, it was about our former president John F Kennedy. This event of the assassination of the President shocked the whole world as written on both essay and speech.

On November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas, President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jaqueline Kennedy was riding on the limousine around the town, greeting everyone and shaking their hands. They were happily waving their hands at the crowd.

During that time, on the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository, a man named Lee Harvey Oswald was aiming his gun toward the President's head. It was a chaotic moment. Oswald shot President John F. Kennedy through his head

The President was rapidly rushed to Parkland Hospital  but an hour and a half later, he was pronounced dead. Lyndon B. Johnson succeeded him as the 37th President of the United States. Lee Harvey Oswald was caught in a movie theater and was captured by the FBI. However, he was shot dead by a man who admired John F. Kennedy.

My Story

                                                                         My Story

The legend was born on May 22, 2000 6:00 AM. He was a fine healthy boy weighing 6 pounds and 10 ounces. His name is Tayden. He is the first child of Mr. and Mrs. Yuki. He had a fantastic childhood. Attended his first preschool when he became 3 years old and stayed there till he finished kindergarten. The school he attended was a Christian school and met his first friends of his life there. After finishing preschool, the legend moved on to elementary school called Third St.

At elementary, his friend from kindergarten, named Tyler, was acrossed the class from his. He started to play with his friend and went on to become one of his best friends in elementary. After the first week, Tayden moved onto another class in the school. That is when he met a new friend, named Ryan, that soon on became one of his best friends till this day. Tayden and Ryan found out they like the same anime called Naruto and used to imagine they were Naruto characters.

Third grade was the best time of his life. This was when Tayden met alot of his old friends and formed a group with them. Tyler and Ryan were there too. Tayden and the group got in trouble almost everyday by their teacher Mr. H. Mr. H was and still is Tayden's favorite teacher. Past the culmination, Tayden then moved onto Middle School.

The first day of middle school was really scary. He didn't know where to go and where his classes were at. He was confused because in elementary, they only had one teacher for the whole year. He saw people he knew from at elementary and hung out with them for the first few days. One day, a guy sitting next to him was peeking at Tayden's paper and read what he likes. He asks Tayden if he had a PS3. This is how he met his new friend, Joey.

Tayden and Joey started to hang out almost everyday. They were like brothers. 6th grade ended in a flash. Start 7th grade he was already confident on the locations in the school. This time, he didn't have a rolling backpack like he had throughout elementary and 6th grade. This was when he met his past elementary best friends.

He stopped hanging out with Joey 24/7 and started to hangout with his old friends. The group hung out everyday during the 2 years left of middle school. Finally, highschool came by. The first day was making him nervous but he found his group and his fear lifted away. Even now, he still hangs out with this group everyday and probably always will. This is the story of the legend.
